The posts on this google+ blog, especially the the Music Education Nation are very encouraging and inspiring posts. There are countless ideas about how to teach music in a way that builds one concept on to another. In the above link, Donna Schwartz speaks of some great ways to get better at improv, and another video discusses the circle of fifths. Looking now at another google+ groups, I found "Technology in Music Education. This discussed how to use various apps that could be used as learning tools in the music classroom. I also found http://www.stringquest.com/chord-recognition-audio-quiz/, which helps train the ear by having students identify chords. A frequent poster on this blog, named, Dr. David Mitchel speaks about a degree that offers both technology and music together.
